By grounding his formal investigations in "personal and cultural mythologies", the paintings, sculptures, and installation offered in

"Some Recent Works" invites the viewer to reflect upon the poetics of their experience in the context of his own. Rashawn’s work has

been exhibited widely, including the 2008 Whitney Biennial; a two-person exhibition at the Studio Museum in Harlem; the Deutshe Guggenheim in

Berlin, Germany; EK Projects in Beijing, China; a solo project at the Momentary in Bentonville, Arkansas; solo exhibition at the Nerman Museum of

Contemporary Art in Overland Park, KS, and featured in “The Regional” biennial of midwest based artists at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art.

Rashawn will also be featured in the Special Effects booth at NADA Projects, Miami in December of 2025,
